I don’t make paintings/drawings/collages. I make places; ground. The places I create have multiple periods of occupation. The geology and archeology of the land is evident in the stacking, layering, repetition, rules, erasure. Time, weather, water, gravity, pollutants act as outside forces changing the place. Chance, disaster, intuition, occupation, imposed rules offer new opportunities for change. [...]
